If you’ve visited the home page of Futility Soft recently, you would have noticed things have changed. One of those changes is the inclusion of the “other scripts” section. This section is comprise of several free PHP scripts that I (Marcus) used to develop. Although they are no longer developed, except for maybe the odd bug fix,they still have some functionality to give that you may find useful.
- Click Counter Deluxe was the first script I ever released. It’s purpose is simple, track out going clicks. Though it’s not very advanced, it does allow for easy to use click counting. Features include IP address logging, and individual click counting, or counting of every click.
- File Snatcher is a handy script that I wrote to help myself, and eventually released for anyone to use. It’s purpose is simple, to copy a file from one website to yours. An example of usage maybe copying an image you want to keep, or a ZIP file containing a script you want to install. Later version added handy features like a progress bar. Ohhh, nifty.
- phpBB3 News is a more advanced script that allows you to pull posts from a phpBB3 install, and display them on a page. In short it allows you to use phpBB3 as a CMS or blogging software. Some of the features it includes is comments, avatars, and polls. An example of it’s use can be seen here.(Not all of the features are in use on the site however.)
